Description of the Sí Virtual process, the Colombian State Portal:

TP 6: For an alien wishing to enter the national territory as a volunteer aid worker on a non-governmental or non-profit organization recognized by the Colombian government. In this case, the validity of the visa will be up to one (1) year with multiple entries.

Requirements:

  • Attach a copy of the personal data page of your current passport where the holder’s personal information is registered.
  • Submit a passport or travel document issued by an Authority or State recognized by the Colombian Government, with a validity of one hundred eighty (180) days, in good condition, with at least two (2) blank pages.
    Without prejudice to the provisions of treaties and current international instruments, travel documents issued by the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations (UN), shall be valid and accepted by the Colombian State.
  • Copy of the passport page which was stamped during the last entry or exit of Colombia as appropriate.
  • For visas previously granted without Fast Reading Code (FRC), attach a copy of the page showing the last Colombian visa. If that visa was granted with FRC, this requirement is not necessary.
  • If the procedure will be completed through a proxy, attach the power of attorney duly granted.
  • Attach the documents listed in the first four items and a letter signed by the legal representative of the entity or organization indicating the activity the alien will develop in the country, the work program to be performed, its duration and planned agenda, assuming financial responsibility to cover all expenses of the alien during their stay in Colombia, as well as the return expenses to the country of origin or last place of residence of the alien, and his family, on completion of the activities, and
  • Certificate signed by the legal representative of the NGO stating the alien's experience and expertise in connection with activities intended to develop in the country, or stating the student or intern status, and
  • Valid document attesting to the legal status of the non-profit, or non-governmental organization (attach pages containing the following information: Legal identity, corporate purpose, legal representatives, capital or shareholding structure, functions of legal representative), issued by the competent Colombian authority, or document of establishment in a country different to Colombia with at least five (5) years of established and issued within the last three (3) months. The two aforementioned requirements may be replaced by a document proving that you have a consultative status of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
  • Fill out the visa application electronically through the following link: Visa Application. In the case of artistic, sporting and cultural groups the visa application may be filled out by their representative. Be thorough with the information of each of the group members.

Remember:

  • For your visa to be stamped on your passport, you must submit it to the consulate where your application was completed or to the offices in Bogota. You can enter Colombia presenting the  electronic visa that you received in your email.

Note:

The alien bound or recruited as an official or employee of a non-profit entity or NGO, must apply to the TP-4 visa.
If you submit your application on-site, you are not required to bring photographs with you. These will be taken at the dispatching office.

The receipt of the visa study is valid for thirty (30) calendar days, provided your application has been required. If your application has been declared 'non-admissible'  and you are interested in starting  a new application, you must make a new payment for visa study.

If your application is approved, remember that you have up to fifteen (15) calendar days to pay for your visa with the same slip you received when paying for the visa study. After this period, the authorization will expire and you must make a new application. Once you have pay for the printing or stamping of the visa, you can go to the Visa Office in Bogota if you are in Colombia.

  • You must make the payment in cash and in Colombian pesos at the GNB Sudameris Bank branch located in the visa office at Av. Cra 19 98-03 3rd in Bogota. Debit or credit cards will not be accepted.
  • Nationwide Servibanca ATMs Network.
  • Payment through PSE. For this you must have an enabled  bank account in Colombia with an online payment option.
